Terms of Use
Draft for legal review — Version 0.1
Effective date (draft): 19 September 2026 · Version 0.1
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using this website, creating an account, or purchasing raffle/contribution tickets, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the website or buy tickets.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms, unless a new acceptance is required (for example, a new checkbox for a material update).
2. Who may use the website
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your place of residence, if higher) and able to enter a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate account and purchase information.
3. Nature of the service
This website supports church fundraising campaigns connected with The Saint Paisios the Athonite Church Initiative / Orthodox Archdiocese of Jordan. Ticket purchases are contributions connected to raffle participation under the campaign rules published on the site.
Nothing on this website constitutes investment advice, a guarantee of prize value, or a commercial lottery operated for private profit.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that appear abusive, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms.
5. Website content and intellectual property
All site content (text, branding, images, videos, graphics, layouts, and documents) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable law. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit site content without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial viewing as intended by the site.
6. Ticket purchases and payment
Ticket availability is limited and may change until payment is successfully completed and tickets are confirmed.
Prices are shown in JOD unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed through our payment provider(s). A purchase is complete only when we confirm successful payment and ticket allocation.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment method and contact details are correct.
7. No refunds / final sale
All confirmed ticket purchases are final and non-refundable, including but not limited to change of mind, inability to participate in the draw, dissatisfaction with campaign outcomes, duplicate purchases, or failure to retain your receipt/ticket numbers.
Exceptions may apply only where required by mandatory applicable law, or where we determine (in our sole discretion) that a technical error, unauthorized transaction, or payment-provider reversal requires adjustment. In such cases, our remedy may be limited to correcting ticket records or coordinating with the payment provider.
8. Draw, prizes, and campaign rules
Draw timing, eligibility, prize descriptions, and any campaign-specific rules are as published for that campaign (or as later clarified by the organizing committee). We reserve the right to postpone, modify, or cancel a campaign/draw for operational, safety, legal, or force-majeure reasons.
If a campaign cannot proceed as planned, any remedy (if any) will be determined by the organizing committee in accordance with applicable rules and law, and will not create an automatic cash refund right beyond what mandatory law requires.
9. Receipts and donation acknowledgment
After a successful purchase, you may receive an email receipt and donation acknowledgment letter, and you may be able to view/download them from your account. These documents are provided for your records. They do not change the no-refund policy unless required by law.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to: attempt unauthorized access, disrupt, or overload the website; use bots/scrapers to reserve or buy tickets unfairly; provide false identity or payment information; misuse personal data of others; or use the site for unlawful purposes.
11. Personal data
Our handling of personal data (including name, email, mobile, date of birth, and optional national ID) is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the site, you also acknowledge that policy.
12. Disclaimer
The website is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Campaign descriptions are informative and may be updated.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data, arising from use of the website or ticket purchases. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including fraud or willful misconduct).
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the website, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Amman shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
